- Joining the Family

Jesus answered:
"I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:6
Jesus'
short story, or parable of the rebellious son who insults
his father by obtaining the family money and goes off on his own
living in sin [LUKE 15]. Gives a clue of what it means
to join God's family.
What can the father do? If he tracks down his
son and forces him to return, the rebellious son will only run
away again. The loving father waits longingly for his lost
son to return.
By
acting out Jesus' parable of the lost son and making it
the story of your life you will begin to understand
how to become a member of God's family.

Turn
around from your current ways.
This means recognizing that your attempts at going at life
alone are futile. You need God's help and his Holy Spirit--
for this life and the next. Restoring contact with the
Father is the first priority.
Admit
to God that you are unworthy.
This simply means praying to God, perhaps using words
similar to those the lost son rehearsed to himself:
"Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no
longer worthy to be called your child; make me like
one of your hired men to serve you and do your work.
Accept
the Father's embrace.
The lost son never even got to finish his speech before his
father hugged and kissed him and called for a celebration.
When you turn to God, he will instantly
or slowly but surely fill your life with the
blessing of the Holy Spirit.
There will be no time for misery and moaning.
You are instantly loved. You are part of a family
Join
the celebration.
You can take these first steps almost anywhere. People turn to God
in large crusade meetings, on the job, in homes and in classrooms.
They pray to God alone or they do it in a crowd. However, joining
God's family can't ultimately be solitary. We're invited to join the
celebration, and that is what we call church-
the gathering of God's people to praise God and enjoy his blessings.

My
friend, I hope and pray that if you do not know the
Father that you follow these steps in order
to live your life for God and
achieve an intimate relationship
with the Father through Jesus Christ.
By
doing so your life will be truly blessed and your
eternal salvation will be secured in the heavens.
God
created us to worship and to serve him.
Once you do this your mind & spirit are completely free
to fully understand his purpose for you and your life.
My
friend, even though I do not know you I have deep
compassion and love for you and so does -- Jesus Christ.
The story is true fact: He died for you!
So that you can be redeemed by his blood.
Please, I beg of you if God has been pulling at your
heart invite him in with open arms by following the
steps above. Your life will never be the same.
